APRIL 23RD 2011 SALT SPRINGS STATE PARK

On Sat 4/23, the day after Earth Day there will be a final event at Salt Springs State Park at the Pavilion. We will have a ritual libation of the water from Buttermilk Falls in the NYC watershed, the Catskill Mountains, which has been lovingly carried on foot through many communities receiving gratitude and blessings along the way with the understanding that this small amount of water symbolizes all water, everywhere. Those who wish to may bring some of this water back to their own community.
We will celebrate by feasting and entertaining one another with our creative expressions in honor of water and life and good food and fun.We would love to have you participate and represent your community on this day.We invite you to bring your own special sort of joy to this event.Bring yourself and your family, a dish to pass and any form of creativity you would like to add--dancing, singing, playing an instrument, a smiling face.Let's enjoy each other and explore the lovely Salt Springs Park on Earth Day weekend.Do you know others who would like to join us? Please share!
