beating the drum said...

Tuesday evening at about 9:10 PM in the dark wet cold rain as I was getting something out of my truck I heard this yell, "hello" & sure enough coming out of the misty damp fog were two women so wet, clothes hanging & dripping with water, it was Chrys & Joy. In my minds eye I still see this most incredible smile from ear to ear on both their faces, we exchanged hugs & kisses. They were so present, grounded & full of all the natural elements of their journey, two incredible women on a walk about, wide eyed & gloriously full of human spirit. Joy holding the amphora & Chrys with the staff of ribbons. They were magic.. After a few minuets they were followed by Francena & rushed off to the inn for the evening. Returning in the early am to share the corn maiden, the roasted pumpkin seeds & a fruitful bounty of coconut, bananas, pineapple, strawberries, apples & pears. We Maya & I sat amongst our dear friends, Nathaniel, Sandy, Krista as others showed up to support them. We had Chrys, Deanna, Bess, support team Francena & Frank, Kam & Elizabeth djembe players & Kendal a women of spirit who just wanted to share & support with her presence. The gathering was so joyful & as we shared the spirit with each other the walkers feet were anointed with rose water & Oil of Magdolin by Minwah. A brief interlude & then on about the walk we sang & drummed & shared on the road where the thumpers were stopped, the grid of light vibration uninterrupted & then they were off into the light....... Blessed Be
